This Privacy Policy explains how [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use GenNxt Family (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

• Account data: your name and email address.
• Your Content: documents, photos, and records you upload, and the text extracted from them.
• Usage data: log data such as pages visited and actions taken, used to operate and improve the Service.
• Visit data: your IP address, browser user-agent, and the approximate location (city, region, country) derived from that IP. We record this once per visitor per day — for visitors who are signed in and for those who are not — to understand how the Service is used. The IP is sent to a third-party geolocation provider solely to resolve the approximate location; see "Sharing" below. Visit records are deleted automatically after 90 days.
• Payment data: processed by Razorpay and Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers.

2. How we use your information

• To provide the Service — storing your documents and generating answers.
• To send transactional email (verification, reminders, digests, invitations, and billing notices) you have opted into or that are essential to the Service.
• To secure, maintain, and improve the Service.

3. AI processing

To answer your questions, relevant portions of Your Content are sent to our AI providers (for example OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic). They process this data to return a response and, per their terms, do not use API content to train their models. We send only what is needed to fulfil your request.

4. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service (hosting, database, email, payment, and AI providers), and when required by law. This includes an IP geolocation provider, which receives visitor IP addresses in order to return an approximate location. Pages you explicitly choose to make public (share links) are visible to anyone with the link. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We keep Your Content while your account is active. If you delete content or your account, we remove it from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to backups and legal obligations. Visit data (IP address and approximate location) is deleted automatically 90 days after it is recorded.

If you use the Service without an account, the text of your questions and the answers we generated is erased automatically 90 days after it is recorded, along with the browser identifier that linked it to you. We keep only the fact that a question was asked, and its category and language, so we can measure how the Service is used. Signed-in accounts are treated differently: your question history stays available to you until you delete it or close your account.

6. Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your data. Email [CONTACT EMAIL — e.g. support@gennxtfamily.com] to make a request. You can also delete documents and your account from within the app.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Changes

We may update this policy and will revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be notified where appropriate.
